Who is responsible
Meridian operates this website at meridianvoip.co.za. Privacy questions and data-subject requests can be sent to meridian@meridianvoip.co.za.
Information we collect
We collect the information you submit in an application or workspace, including names, business contact details, company information, service requirements, lead records, operational records, and account activity. We also retain limited security data such as a hashed form of the submitting IP address.
Why we use it
We use information to respond to enquiries, assess programme fit, provide contracted services, secure the platform, prevent abuse, maintain suppression records, meet legal obligations, and improve operations. We do not sell application information.
Outreach data and client responsibility
Clients must have a documented lawful basis for every outreach programme and must provide accurate information about contact sources and target jurisdictions. Meridian may reject or pause work that lacks adequate provenance, consent, legitimate-interest assessment, or other required authority.
Sharing and international processing
Information may be processed by vetted hosting, mailbox, verification, security, analytics, and professional-service providers only as needed to operate the service. Where cross-border processing applies, Meridian and the client must agree appropriate safeguards before launch.
Retention and deletion
Unsuccessful applications are ordinarily retained for up to 12 months unless a longer period is required for security or legal reasons. Client records are retained for the contract period and a reasonable post-contract period. Suppression records may be retained longer so that opt-outs continue to be honoured.
Your choices
Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority, including South Africa’s Information Regulator where POPIA applies.
Security
Meridian uses access controls, encrypted transport, restricted storage, audit-oriented records, backups, and operational monitoring. No internet service is risk-free, and clients must use strong, unique passwords and protect their mailbox credentials.
Changes
We will update the effective date when this notice changes materially. Contract-specific data-processing terms take precedence where they provide stronger protections.
